First picture in quite a while eh! I have been drawing, but nothing like what I'd like. First one I've been happy with in a while that's for sure.

Just a quick sketch one evening, which I was really happy with. So I took a photo, did the linework in Photoshop, then went to work with shading. Decided to aim for a mono-chromatic style thing, and wanted to do a brown picture because when I took the photo it looked kind of brown, and I liked it.
So I started with the base colour, then built in shaddows and highlights just changing saturation and darkness in the one colour pallette.

Good fun to do, I'm quite happy with it. I was aiming for an almost comic book style.

Also - yes her arms and legs are long. That's because mine are, and I often model from myself when I need to get some decent looking proportions. Also I felt that longer ones worked better for this pose.

Thanks to my brother who taught me about core shaddows. I'm deffinitely going to start using them more, and hopefully my pictures will start to show some more depth in them.
